Florida Deliveries
For Florida customers south of Jacksonville, deliveries are made by our own trucks. Delivery fees are charged based on distance from either our Boynton Beach or St. James City locations. To arrange for delivery, an order must meet or exceed the minimum order requirement for your area. For orders that fall below the minimum amount, you may still arrange for a delivery, but a flat fee applies and your delivery date is not guaranteed. BGI delivery trucks are scheduled two days in advance, with a cutoff time of 12 noon. Cancellations and revisions to your order cannot be made after the cutoff time; in doing so, you may be charged re-stocking fees. To ensure that you receive your products and first choice of delivery date, we recommend placing delivery orders a week in advance. Please call your Sales Executive for all the complete details and to schedule a delivery.
Out-of-State Shipments
**Updated February 1, 2008**
BGI is now capable of shipping colorful bougainvillea in full bloom with 95% color retention when in transit for 5 days or less. Due to a revolutionary new application, our bougainvillea will arrive to your nursery or garden center in full bloom with hardly a drop in bracts or foliage! For maximum color retention, length of transit should be 5 days or less, plants should be sleeved, and the carrier’s handling and shipping methods should be at optimum quality. Please call your BGI Sales Executive to find out more about our exciting new method of shipping bougainvillea out of state – with full color!
For customers outside of Florida, we will be glad to work with any LTL and FTL carrier. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to place the order with the carrier and pay shipping expenses incurred. BGI will confirm your order with the carrier company, and prepare all plants and necessary paperwork for shipment. Most carriers require that plants be sleeved and labeled. BGI strongly recommends that all plants be sleeved or boxed. BGI is certified to ship to the Continental U.S., including the restricted states of California (certain products), Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. We also ship to Canada, Bahamas, and the Caribbean.
Liability
Orders may be subject to circumstance and conditions beyond the control of Bougainvillea Growers International (BGI) shall not be liable for any delay or failure caused by fire, floods, pestilence, disease, natural disasters, strikes, labor disputes, civil commotion, delays or shortages of transportation, shortage in materials, government authority or regulation (whether valid or not), inclement, adverse or destructive weather conditions or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of BGI. A plant shortage from any cause shall require BGI to refund that portion of the deposit represented by the shortage. All claims must be made within 48 hours of receipt of plants. BGI will make all efforts to correct any mistake made by its personnel but under no circumstances will BGI be responsible for more than the purchase price of the plants.
